A converted barn with upstairs bedroom sleeping 12 in full sized bunk beds. Downstairs can sleep up to 4/5 on air beds.
Inside
The Ranger inn was converted from a barn in 1988 and in keeping with the rest of the historic site retains many interesting features, such as the original stone walls.
Ground Floor
Entry via the front door into a short passage way with a drying room for boots and coats and a toilet.
The main open plan room boasts a fully equipped kitchen including a fridge/freezer, microwave and large calor gas cooker. There is a dining / activity area with chairs and folding tables together with a small cosy lounge area with seating.
Two high quality li-los are provided to provide extra sleeping accommodation in this space.
A light and airy bathroom opens off this main room with 2 showers, wash basins and toilet facilities.
A staircase rises from the main room to the first floor.
First Floor
There are a total of 12 beds in 1 large bedroom. Pillows and blankets are provided, but you are asked to bring a sleeping bag and pillowcase for each person.
General
The building is fully centrally heated and has double glazing throughout. There is ample parking for leaders in the off-road car park.
Supermarkets will deliver your shopping to the Inn.
Outside
The Ranger Inn has a large secure garden with plenty of space for wide games and outdoor fun. There is a brick built BBQ (trays and tongs are available for use in the leaders store room in the Children’s Inn) and a campfire circle and a picnic table and benches.
For Health and Safety reasons unfortunately no dogs are allowed on site.
Cancellation / Prepayment
Standard booking T&C’s apply to all booking cancellations made from 1 January 2022, unless the cancellation is a direct result of changes in government guidance/legislation in relation to Covid-19.
